SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES National Philanthropy - Girls For A Change Convention attendees will have the opportunity learn more about our national philanthropy, Girls For A Change (GFC).  GFC empowers teen girls to promote social change, but do you know exactly what they are doing in our communities? A GFC representative will be on-hand at this year's convention to explain GFC's mission and activities, and to let you know how you and your chapter can become more involved with Girls For A Change. Annual Convention Service Project - Dress For Success As we converge upon Philadelphia to discuss the new direction of Theta Nu Xi, we will support a local Philadelphia non-profit organization that helps other women move in a new direction as well - Dress for Success® Philadelphia.  Dress for Success promotes "economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help them thrive in work and in life".  We encourage every sister to search your closet for clothes suitable for a job interview that you are no longer wearing.  While economic times may prevent us from making large cash donations, we all have suits and interview attire that we no longer need. However, cash donations will also be accepted at convention registration. Visit Dress for Success' donation guidelines for a complete list of needed items.  Please note that sizes 12 and up are especially needed. Donated items will be collected throughout convention at the registration check-in area. Convention Walk/Run For A Change More information coming soon about this annual convention event which raises funds for charity! Sisters are encouraged to participate in our annual Convention Walk/Run event, WALK For A CHANGE. Participants will take part in fun early morning walk/run around the hotel’s vicinity in support of our National Philanthropy’s (Girls For A Change) mission! Funds raised will go directly towards Girls For A Change. A minimum $5 donation is requested at convention registration.
